So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message that is heard is what Christ spoke.

Faith: Gk. is Pistis - a conviction or belief of a truth…in respect to my relationship w/God.

…Saving Faith...

Eph.2:8-9,

Ephesians 2:8–9 NKJV

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

It’s not given as a reward for something you did…it was FREE, when you accepted it by trusting in Jesus…Work of the Holy Spirit(leads us, but we have to believe)

The Holy Spirit assists us…help us to understand so we can receive the Word…inclines our heart to embrace the truth!

…understanding & obeying what God says!

Hearing is very important because it can affect you.

When you hear the Word of God on a regular basis, it produces an atmosphere of Faith.

…gotta stop listening to ppl, stuff that causes fear in your heart…the more you listen, the more you’ll start doubting God…when that happens, here comes Doubt.

Unbelief sets in…You’ll find yourself backsliding…Coming to Church starts getting hard…Your zeal has left…Quit giving…Loving others becomes a task!

When this happens, you’ll start searching for answers somewhere else.

Heb.11:6,

Hebrews 11:6 GW

No one can please God without faith. Whoever goes to God must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only thing that produces Faith.

Hearing the Word of God, equips us for everything we need to live…it’s like planting a seed(heart), tilling the ground to yield what’s been planted. If the environment is right, that 1 seed will bear much fruit(abundance)!

Hearing demands attention to what our eyes see…eyeing the details of the text like this is your 1st time reading it…not like reading a Newspaper or Magazine…God’s Word can be trusted.

Rom.14:23b - whatever is not of Faith is sin.

Foundation of Faith - God’s Word(not men nor Angels)

Ps.89:34,

Psalm 89:34 NKJV

My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.

Active Faith - can’t be dead!!! Faith w/o works is dead.

Why ask for more Faith, if you’re not going to be obedient.

You can’t force God to do anything for you…that’s not Faith.

Faith in God is knowing Him & establishing a relationship w/Him.

Faith manifests when doubt is no longer in your heart.

How to tell when you’re operating in Faith?

Heb.4:3,

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
